The lady Blazers ended their 2011 season Wednesday with a tough loss against Highline 38-50. Centralia ended their regular season with a record of 6-10. The Blazers owned the first half of the game. With tough defense the Blazers held Highline to only 16 points. Full story

Tacoma Titans win by one point

The Lady Blazers took a tough loss last night losing to the Tacoma Titans 59-58. Centralia had two last second shots to try and take the lead, but could not get either of the shots to fall. The Blazers played well in the first half taking a three point lead. Full story

Centralia Women Fall To Clark Penguins

The Blazer women's basketball team took a tough loss Monday in their first league game of the season falling to the Clark County Penguins 42-62. "We need to execute on defense," Centralia Head Coach Shane Schutz said after the game. Late in the first half, the Penguins went on a 10-0 run to take the lead and go ahead by 10 points before halftime.

New Coach, New Team, New Season

Shane Schutz, the new basketball coach for the Lady Blazers, is no stranger to campus. He is a member of the Centralia College Sports Hall of Fame and was a stand-out player for the men's basketball team from 1992-94. Schutz played for coach Bob Peters, now CC's Athletic Director, and said "This feels really at home.
