Centralia got swept in a double header at home April 25, against the top ranked team in the NWAACC WEST 3-12 in the first game and 1-16 in the second game.

Blazers 3, Red Devils 12

The first game of the double header started with the Blazers scoring early but not threatening for much of the later parts of the game after scoring three early runs.

Centralia fell behind 3-7 after 4 innings of play and had a chance in the fifth inning to take a slice out of the lead and get back in the game.

In the fifth inning the Blazers looked to be getting a rally going with runners at first and second with only one out in the inning. Then things turned for the worst as the runner at second got picked off by the Lower Columbia pitcher for the second out of the inning and then Trevor Harmon struck out swinging to end the threat.

Over the next four innings of the game the Blazers only managed one hit and didn't show much fight.

For the game Centralia had five errors.

"We didn't play catch well," said Blazers coach Bruce Pocklington. "They defended well, we didn't, we had five errors in first game and that was the game."

Rico Melendez picked up the loss for the Blazers.

Blazers 1, Red Devils 16

In the Second game the Blazers looked to change their fortunes and pick up a huge win over Lower Columbia.

From the very start of the game things looked like they were not going to go the Blazers way.

Jacob Conklin started the game for the Blazers on the mound and he was hit hard early.

The Red Devils opened the game how they left off last game with a single and a walk. Conklin stayed with it and got a strikeout and a groundout before allowing a two run single too fall behind 2-0 after the first inning.

Lower Columbia added on three more runs to go ahead 5-0 after the top of the second inning.

In the bottom of the second the Blazers led off the inning with a walk and a single to have two runners on with no outs. Two groundouts and a strikeout ended the threat for the Blazers and that would be the only chance the Blazers would have.
Lower Columbia added on six more runs in the third inning to blow the game out.

Centralia got its lone run in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI groundout.

The blazers got outhit 14-2 for the game with the only two hits for the Blazers coming from Grant Stonex.

"In the second game we played dead, we got some key injuries, said Pocklington. "We are getting used to losing and we got to try and keep our heads up."

The losses over the weekend put the Blazers record at 2-28 overall and 1-16 in league.
