It has been a rough start to the season for the Centralia College softball team.

After their first 10 games of the season their record stands at just two wins and eight losses.

The Blazers first doubleheader against Bellevue did not turn out so well as Centralia lost the first game 14-1 and the second 11-1.

The women bounced back with a victory over Edmonds 7-2. However they lost their second game of the day against Clark 9-0.

The next day Centralia dropped two more games. One loss came to Olympic 10-3 and another to SW Oregon 4-1.

The Blazers met Clark, again, in doubleheader action and were handed two more losses in the form of 7-0 and 7-3 beatings.

The Blazers finally put together a solid day of ball as they split the doubleheader with South Puget Sound.

Centralia only allowed one run on five hits in the first game.

However the Blazers had only three hits of their own and were not able to get a runner across the plate losing 1-0.

In Centralia's previous eight games they were only able to score 16 runs. In the second game on the doubleheader they busted through with a season high 11 runs on 17 hits.

Sam Hall pitched a complete game getting her second win of the season.

Tiffany Morriessey scored the winning run on a hit by Brandi Cavanaugh in the tenth inning of the bout.
Brittany Frank was 4 for 5 with two triples and a double while Kim Kerlee hit a homer for Centralia.
With the win the Blazers are currently second in league behind 2-0 Pierce.
Centralia (1-1 league) travel to Grays Harbor for a doubleheader April 6.
