Centralia traveled to Grays Harbor and Green River during the weekend to play doubleheaders against both squads. The Blazers swept Grays Harbor and split the series with Green River putting their league record to 6-5.
Centralia used huge third and fourth innings in the first game against the Chokers winning 11-5 and put together big second and sixth innings in the second game to pick up a 9-6 victory.
Grays Harbor started the scoring with one run in the first inning before the Blazers went to work.
Centralia scored nine combined runs in the third and fourth innings to jump out to a huge lead. The Chokers scored four more runs though the eighth, but in the top of the ninth the Blazers added two more insurance runs to put Grays Harbor away 11-5.
Taylor Miller led Centralia going 1-3 with three RBIs. He walked twice and scored two runs. Rusty Beam went 1-2 with two RBIs and a walk.
Alex Anderson picked up his third win of the season going five innings giving up four hits and one earned run.
The Chokers opened the scoring in the second game as well leading 1-0 going into the second. However it didn't take long for the Blazers to answer scoring five runs in the top of the second and three more in the sixth. Centralia's final run came in the seventh inning as they walked away with a 9-6 game two win.
Miller remained hot on the day as he went 3-4 in the game with two RBIs and a stolen base.
Mac Collette went 2-4 with four RBIs and scored two runs for the Blazers while Ryan Knutz also went 2-4 with an RBI and two runs.
Alex Bos picked up the win, striking out six and allowed two runs in his four innings pitched.
Sunday, Centralia traveled to Green River to take on the Gators in another doubleheader.
In the first game the Blazers took the early lead and never looked back winning 10-2.
Centralia put together 15 hits in the game and scored at least one run in six of the nine innings played.
Spencer Weddle had three RBIs on two hits and walked twice to lead the Blazers.
Collette, Connor Adams and Kyle Jones each had two hits and an RBI while Knutz had three RBIs on one hit.
Scott Miller had a stellar performance on the mound striking out eight batters in height innings while only allowing one earned run.
In the second game of the doubleheader Centralia looked poised to pick up their fourth win in two days as they had a 3-1 lead going into the bottom half of the last inning but allowed Green River to get three runs, losing 4-3.
Knutz led the Blazers with three hits, one RBI and scored two runs.
Tyson Schmitt got the start for Centralia and pitched 4.2 innings giving up one run on four hits. Jace Shelton came in to relieve Schmitt and pitched 2.1 innings not allowing the Gators to get a single hit.
Ramesh Ramnarine came in to close the game for the Blazers in the bottom of the eight. Ramnarine gave up three hits and three runs to pick up the loss for Centralia.
The Blazers host a doubleheader against the Tacoma Titans April 24 at Wheeler Field. Centralia will then head to Tacoma for a single game April 25.
