The Centralia College Lady Blazer golf team wrapped their season up with a seventh place finish at the NWAACC Championships at the Gold Mountain golf course.
The team consists of five young women including sophomores Hillary Peters and Kristina Brenneis and freshman Julia Robertson, Laura Peckham and Heather Kolowinski.
Head coach Dave Klovdahl said that Peters and Brenneis have improved each season and had their best rounds at the championship.
"Robertson is a promising freshman who has recovered from hand surgery to play well in the last two matches," Klovdahl said.
He said Peckham has improved throughout the year and will continue to get better because of her work ethic and that Kolowinski added depth after joining the team in the spring after not having played much golf in several years.
The team finished the regular season ranked sixth after six league matches heading into the championships.
Centralia shot a 569 during the tournament which was good enough to finish seventh.
The score was seven strokes off of sixth and 79 strokes off of Spokane's winning score.
Peters placed 11th overall in the championship shooting her best rounds of the season while Robertson took 14th.
Klovdahl said his highlights of the season have been the steady improvement of team.
