Thefts on campus are increasing. Keep your valuables in site at all times.

"We are currently seeing a rash of thefts on campus. Backpacks, laptops, cell phones and other electronics are being stolen," Dr. James Walton, president of Centralia College, advised through a campus-wide email.

According to Centralia Police Department, a laptop was stolen Friday and a backpack was stolen yesterday. Both thefts occurred within the student cafeteria. A student had placed his backpack on top of a table and turned to talk to friends. When he returned a few minutes later, the backpack was gone.

Most thefts have occurred in the student center, Washington Hall and the New Science Center. Do not leave valuables unattended and report any suspicious behaviors.
