Women's scholarships accepting applications

Full tuition to CC or $1000 for tuition to four-year

The American Association of University Women in Lewis County is offering two scholarships, open only to female students.

One scholarship is specifically intended for a second year Centralia College student, and the other is for a woman attending her junior or senior year in any four-year school or program.

To be eligible for either award, students must be able to prove accomplishment at and service to her school and community along with demonstration of a successful learning career.

Applicants for the Centralia scholarship either graduated from a high school in the college’s district or have been a resident of Lewis County or Rochester for both of the previous two years. First-year studies must have been completed by Fall term 2010.

The winner will be awarded a full tuition scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Applicants for the second scholarship do not have to be affiliated with the college but must have graduated from a high school within the district or lived in that same area for the two years prior to college attendance.

The award is for a $1000 tuition scholarship.

Applications are due Feb. 16, 2010.
